Giannis’s system is nothing else but a mirror of Giannis himself. It changes as he matures. It grows wiser as he does, and as his tastes change so does his system. I foresee Gianni as an avid DIY person in the next decade due to his passion of change, and in our hobby, change means money. DIY will express him much better I feel.

Vlachos-May-1999-pic-3During this meeting incredible recordings were played with precision and taste. Giannis choice of Sonny Roy was unexpected due to the fact that he rarely listens to anything other than classical.

The Decca recording proved an excellent choice for the meeting since it showed both the faults and the strengths of his system, with an overall score which was very high indeed. But deep down I know this system will be changed within the next six months as I mentioned before.
