20 Feb 2000: George Papaemmanouil

Papaemmanouil-Feb-2000-system

By Tony Pothitos

These speakers are history. They were created by a man who wanted only one thing in life, and it was not to impress the masses, but rather cater for the few who could love forever.

Just like George and his wife, this pair of speakers are forever. They are here today and will be no matter what happens in the future. I am sure.

As for the listening space and George’s love for music, it is not news that this ACA member is veered upon as a serious music listener and an appreciator of the fine art itself.

Papaemmanouil-Feb-2000-pic-1The fact that everyone came to this meeting shows that in spades. The music was not carefully picked but just chosen out of luck and that was and is George’s signature of thought. He will not set up things to be heard well for anyone, he will play what he wants to feel at the moment. And as usual it was great.

We look forward to seeing George with an analogue setup sooner than later….but he says he will never change….

We thank him for a great evening.
