In view of the still very popular CD and its high market share (even in 10 years there will be new CD-players, merely because of the factual existence of millions and millions of CDs and considering that e.g. in Germany circa 60% of the income of the music industry results from CDs) and because of the still good demand of exceptionally designed CD-Players, particularly with tube output stages, we have decided to launch a new SACD/CD reference top model. As the name (combination of digits) may possibly suggest, it is not about a simple combination of the CD-3sx and the legendary CD-5s. Not one single technical component whatsoever was taken over from any previous Ayon player.

The player is designed completely modular, quasi equipped with plug-in/plug-out boards, and can be retrofitted very easily in case of a possible technical modification.

The CD-35 will be available in 3 different versions: CD-35 Standard, CD-35 Preamp (quadruple electrical-analogue volume control and 3 analogue line inputs) and CD-35 Signature (DSP modules for PCM→DSD and Mundorf Silver/Gold caps)

Some technical highlights:

-New tube output stage, for the first time composed of 2 different types of tubes per channel, one
5687 and one 6H30.
-New tube rectifying with a Russian GZ30 version,
-New DAC with 2 separate AKM converters from Japan;
-Then a special feature for the CD-35 Signature-version: an ultra-high-speed DSP module switchable
via RC is responsible for the conversion of all PCM signals (up to 24-192) into DSD (switchable 128x
or 256x) and also SACD can be lifted up to 256x.

We have activated the possibility of SACD playback; it is quasi a side-product as we offer PCM→DSD conversion as an option and hence it is obvious to incorporate the SACD-section at this point.

We promise that the CD-35 outshines every CD-player ever built by Ayon, technologically and tonally but we also carefully watched the price/performance-ratio, always an important concern for us.
Nowhere on the world-market we see a tube based competitive model, that could challenge its supremacy.

We are sure that the CD-35 will set new benchmarks carrying a lot of analogue emotion and fascination. Everybody wishing to once more buy a top CD-player will not get around this player.
